How to Install Dolby Atmos on Android Without Root and With Root

There are two ways to install Dolby Atmos on Android devices. The first way will not require a rooted phone while trying the second way it will ask for root access.

Install Dolby Atmos Without Root (Method 1)

Requirements:

• Android phone (No Root Required).
• Dolby Atmos Apk.
• Google Play Music app.

1- Download DolbyAtmos APK (Enable Unknown Sources from Security > Settings)

2- Reboot your Android phone after Dolby Atmos apk installed successfully. Don’t open the app yet; you need to follow more steps.

3- Install Google Play Music App from play store.

4- Disable default equalizer. (It can be found in Device Settings)

5- Open Google Play Music app & click on three horizontal lines in the upper left corner.

6- Click on Settings in play music navigation.

7- Go to the Equalizer & open it now enable Dolby Atmos from there.

8- Hurray! You have successfully got Dolby Digital Plus effects. Use headphones for a better experience.

Note: You will not get the real Dolby Atmos effects without root. In this way, you can only get Dolby Digital Equalizer which will only work with Google Play Music.

Requirements:

• Rooted Android phones must be running on Android 4.2 or higher.
• Unlocked Bootloader.
• Custom Recovery Mode installed.

How to Root: Root Android Without PC

You have to Install Dolby Atmos Via Custom Recovery in this below method: –

1- Download Dolby Atmos.zip file on your Android phone. (NOTE– The zip file is for only a rooted device with custom recovery installed)

2- Back up your data.

3- Power off your Phone & Reboot to Recovery Mode (by holding the power button with volume up or down at the same time)

4- Click to install the Firmware.

5- Then, Go to the Folder of where you downloaded & Click on the Dolby Atmos zip file.

6- Then it will ask to swipe to install, do it.

7- Wait for Some Seconds, & it will show you successfully installed. (Comment below If you any error)

8- Then wipe cache & wipe Dalvik cache.
